Maybe not the best place for takeout. I arrived exactly on time to pickup and waited several minutes for our curbside. Our kimchi fries were soggy and the center of my chicken sandwich had started to soften too. For the price I expected it to be a little fresher. Otherwise, really really yummy. Side salad was surprisingly good. I’ll be back to dine in.

All the vibes you need, right here. Ambiance- . Great food Interesring and variety of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) , friendly service . Respect to your dietary needs . It's good for a cocktail, good for a snack, good for lunch, good for dinner, good with friends or for a date. Mofu Shoppe is a gem in downtown Raleigh. Pro tip: reservations, if you're going on a weekend, is highly recommended

We had reservations but once there we cancelled. We walked past two other dinning locations that were very busy When we got to MOFU, it was empty. When we first walked in the door they immediately held up a temperature scanner to us, no asking us if we were okay with it or a warning to tell us what they were about to do, just welcome \bam\ thermometer in your face. Then once we were seated we were instructed that we are required to keep our mask on at all times unless we are placing something into our mouth. So when you chew you have a mask over your mouth not a napkin to wipe your face. I can appreciate if you want to run your business like this but I also have the right to not patronize your business. You might want to look around and note that all the other restaurants that are just asking you to mask to the table and mask away from table are busy and you are not. I know some will get upset about what I have written. This is my opinion and I too have a right to my opinion. Unfortunately, I was really looking forward to trying MOFU because the reviews are great. I wish them well.

First, the decor is industrial but warm. Lots of space, wood beams, commercial garage doors, loved the look. Service was great, attentive without being intrusive. And the food, oh the food. We started with 2 different dumplings, the impossible veggie dumplings were fantastic! Then a bowl of noodle soup, duck poutine and head-on shrimp. The sauce for the shrimp was amazing, so rich and flavorful. The offered gloves for peeling the shrimp - use them unless you want your hands to smell after...I didn't and even after washing twice, could still smell all the seasonings. The duck poutine was slightly salt, but delicious! Can't wait to go again!

I had the unfortunate experience of blowing my tire on the way here to celebrate the upcoming new year 2021. I had to call and cancel my reservation but the hostess was so caring and even called me back to make sure I had a ride! So considerate! I will be coming here eventually with four brand new tires. Come hell or high water I will be eating here! -Sierra:)
