Staff are very friendly, staff checked the toilets which were clean and tidy. Food very reasonable, had the chicken curry which was gorgeous , hubby had homemade chicken & ham pie which he loved. Was recommended a red wine that was amazing.

Home made soup, pea and ham was great a meal on its own. Sirloin steak was great and cooked perfectly and served with big fat chips. 8oz sirloin steak for under 9 and home made soup for 1.55 can't really go wrong.
Went there for a friend's party night. Very nice pub, steeped in history. Staff were very friendly and the whole place was clean and the prices were competitive.
Had my 40th birthday party here and its still just as good
Where do I start? The pub has a gorgeous bowling bowling green, the function room is amazing and my friend was telling me she booked it for free! The food is out of this world, I particularly like the snack menu. Free biscuits for my dog who was made very welcome. Lovely atmosphere
