Had a good experience there at a private function. Nice back garden outlook. Would be really good in summer.

We stopped by for lunch after doing the bridal veil falls walk. It is located away from the town, close to Ngarunui Beach. There is a sign on the road with a Rock It Kitchen sign on top of the driveway. There is quite a bit of parking in the front area but there is also parking around the back. The inside area is quite small but there were a few booths and tables scattered around. We were lucky enough to get a table on the deck area outside. The deck is covered and had grapes growing on the roof over the tables. There was also quite a large backyard where children can run around. There was also a tractor there to play on. We got menus and water at the table and they took our orders there as well. They also have a cabinet inside with tasty treats. Unfortunately, we got there a bit late so the breakfast items on the menu weren't being served anymore. I ended up going with the kumara hash with bacon and iced chocolate. The iced chocolate was nice. It had a layer of chocolate foam which was nice to eat. The kumara hash was delicious with nice chunks of kumara as well as mashed bits. It had a nice flavour to it. The bacon was nice but would've been nicer if it was crispier. I was also able to try some of the other items. The fish in the fish tacos was really nice and fresh. The pork belly bao was also nice. The lamb platter was ok. I found the lamb a bit bland but the other bits were nice. We also tried the cronut and that was ok. I was expecting the pastry to be crispier. It was a nice place to stop for lunch. It would have been nice to be able to have the breakfast and lunch items available all day especially the almond french toast since it sounds tasty.

The barista Lisa is just awesome! Worth a visit only for having a coffee made by her.

Lunch was awesome. Some of the best food we’ve had out in a while. Interesting menu, fresh ingredient with well made and well presented dishes. Should have taken a photo of my fish tacos - they looked and tasted so good I got stuck straight into them....
