The service was a tiny bit abrupt but I put that down to a heavy work load as once things calmed down it was a totally different story. The fish was freaking fantastic! The chips were crispy, the hotdogs had a great batter to sausage ratio and it was all ready at lighting pace! This place is a definite go to for damn good fish and chips.

The best fish and chips in New Zealand! Big portions for great value. Over and over again! I just love this place. It can get very busy during dinner time but its so worth the wait while soaking up the beautiful view. Sometimes you can catch them processing the fish that has been caught for the day.

Total rip off. I watched them open a bag of frozen chips and pour them in the fryer. For these prices I’d expect homemade chips and way larger portions of fish (not a measly piece of dry snapper). Used to be good but gone downhill massively. Nice location, hence 2 stars.

Nice fish and chips. A little bit on the expensive side but a good portion of chips(crunchy outside and soft inside). The fish (tarakihi) was a little overcooked but fresh(and a nice thin, crispy batter). Outdoor seating and the view is worth the trip.

Fresh of the boat. Generous, tasty servings. Down to earth feel. Usually pop in when in Rags

Excellent fish n chips and a great spot to visit to check out what's happening on the wharf with little ones

Definitely great fresh fish. Probably not the best place to go on a long weekend. Was absolutely packed and service was maxed out. Hats off to the staff! You deserve a medal

The area is lively! People around the water fishing and getting on their boats. The shop looks fantastic and you can tell the fish is fresh..because the fishing boat is only a few meters away. Chips good, fish goooood. I know I'll visit this place for a feed again and again being only a short drive away from Hamilton.
