I loved every rainy black fly filled minute of my visit. Daniel the camp manager was extremely kind and very informative and willing to tell you great stories about the area. We talked about the bear situation and stories about other wildlife. When I arrived later in the day he had the registration book open with my name highlighted. Seems he was getting worried about me and was prepared to call the office at the head of the James Bay Road to ask if I had checked in on the road and possibly send someone to search for me. Very nice gentleman. (Thank you Daniel). As others have mentioned, the place was very well maintained. I camped by tent and the last night in my Jeep on site due to the heavy winds. The town was also friendly. I worried a bit about the language barrier but there really is none. Met some amazing people from Montreal in camp. We ate, talked about everything and drank a bit. A LARGE fox visited us as we ate dinner and wandered off. There was a bear put down there the week before I arrived and a wolf was howling about 2am in the small camp too. I captured it on my cell phone. Amazing visit. I highly recommend the town and the camp. bring a head net. Yes, it seems silly but honestly, the flies will make it unpleasant to say the least if you don't.

Extremely nice place to camp. The campsite was closed when we visited (November). But the town was nice enough to let us camp there overnight in our trailer. And yes. I asked, I didn't just assume I can camp here without asking and everything will be fine.
Nice place with washrooms and electricity. Too bad no hot water.
Friendly staff. Washroom and camp site were clean. Price was fair. Well situated. A red fox came to visit us in the early morning. 5 mins later a black bear walked 10 meters in front of our tent. I spoke with the ranger later and he said that the bears never bother anyone. I felt that it was a privilege for me to see the fox and the bear. Make sure to store your food outside and away from the tent - enjoy the outdoors.
Nice place to stay - spaces are large, well spaced out, good privacy. Bathrooms are large and clean. All good, thanks!!
Clean and well managed. Water and electricity on each site. Bathroom and shower were very nice and clean.
We wanted to make a fire but we didn't find any wood in the camp. Every camp spot hasr electricity & water
Hosts were very kind. Through email in advance, they allowed me to stay here off season for a couple nights when nobody was around.
