This radar which looks like a gigantic football is owned by the Portuguese army. It's placed at one of the highest points at Madeira, Pico Arieiro. Even though the radar is fenced, you have a nice view on sunrise and the radar which is a pretty sight.

Amazing view but watch out with your payment. Today cashier put 17,50 instead of 7.50 for my card payment and it wasn't a coincidence. Good I noticed it in last moment. They also don't speak English very well.
