Placed my order and invoices came through for the items, invoice was wrong so once amended I paid this immediately along with the security deposit. I was then asked again for a security deposit to be paid which I took as an honest mistake initially, actions since make me think otherwise. Had to chase regarding collecting items, communication is awful. On collection I was asked to leave my mobile number and someone would contact me regarding returning the items which I did immediately........ I received a voicemail on Wednesday 6th January (did not actually hear it until the 8th January due to issues with my phone) asking to give them a call back which I did and left a message. Was called back by a very rude man requesting items are to be returned on Tuesday between 9am and 12pm, no other day or time was convenient for them which I find shocking.....but I questioned the obvious issues; national lockdown which involves me leaving my local area, and also explained that I was working from home, as well as home -schooling on that day so it would not be convenient. I was asked to arrange for someone to drop them off on my behalf, even if I had someone to do that I am pretty sure that is going against what we are all supposed to be doing at the moment. I was then threatened with an extended hire charge if I did not return the items on the specified date. No mention of these charges are on their website or on the invoices sent over, so to avoid extra charges and potentially losing my security deposit I had no option than to report them to the council. I can appreciate that companies are struggling especially in this industry but the actions of this particular company are completely unethical and I can't help but come to the conclusion that they are out to rip people off. I certainly would not use again or recommend anyone else to.
