ULaval Racing, also known as Formule SAE de l'Université Laval, is a Formula SAE team based in Quebec City, Canada. The team roughly consists of thirty passionate students who are mainly from the departments of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physical engineering and from the faculty of administration and communication. Our team's values are Sustainable Development, Teamwork, Diligence and Excellence. ULaval Racing is built on more than 25 years of experience from the foundation of the Formula SAE project in Laval University in 1989. In 2015, they designed and manufactured the first electric racecar in Université Laval’s history, which was a new milestone for the team. In 2014, the combustion team placed 6th over 120 participating teams and 1st in Canada. In 2015, the electric team finished in 12th place overall in Austria and won the 2nd position for the most energy efficient car and a special award for the most innovative cooling system for the electric motors.The same year, they finished 4th out of 40 teams in the overall ranking in Hungary and won a prestigious 2nd position at the design event.
