Baxfood Caribbean

We’ve recently moved to Purley. We loooove Caribbean food and we got our hopes up. But this is the worst we have ever had. We got large portions and it was so small and overpriced. My oxtail was so so so flavourless. The jerk chicken just tasted spicy .. it didn’t taste like jerk at all. The sweet corn fritters had about 5 sweet corn, it was basically just fried batter. We wouldn’t recommend.. sorry not sorry! :(

My opinion of this food outlet is contrary to some of the reviews below. This is a family run business and everyone that i have ever dealt with have been friendly, happy and very polite. The food is tasty, healthy and high quality. See the photo below of my order this evening. (my personal favourite is the lamb mutton curry, meat always tender/good quality) Purley doesn't have any good food takeaways, in fact the standard is shocking, but Baxfood is the exception to this. Thank god they chose Purley to base their business.

Consistently a great experience! Joy and Mark are the most happiest business partners I have met! The dynamic duo time and time they under sell and over deliver, I love the fact you do not use MSG (flavour enhancers) to get a great taste and I'm very excited to try the Vegan options too :) Please keep up the brilliant work for the community

Baxfood Caribbean have the pengest dumplings ever! Soft, doughy, and crispy on the outside, making them comforting during this cold winter. The staff are friendly, and the service is great! Would highly recommend :)

Just discovered this place has vegan options so had to order (of course!) I've never had Jamaican food before so don't have anything to judge it against but wow this was super tasty! We had ackee, jerk mushroom & tofu, rice & peas, dumplings, and plantain Everything was cooked perfectly, super delicious, the perfect level of spice, and we would definitely order again
