Good home cooked food. Scrummy cakes and great coffee. Outside seating. Comfortable surroundings and good service from friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

Great sandwich, a bit old fashioned but it is an antiques shop as well. Always seems quiet, not a bad thing as you can relax. Dog friendly place.

This place is just perfect. We went for a lovely but chilly walk and finished up here after wanting to visit for ages and we weren't disappointed. Even from the outside it's special, and when you walk in its just a lovely fuzzy welcoming feeling of awesomeness. No.54 has so much quirky character, but natural, not forced. We sat at a beautiful, old arty table by the window and ordered full breakfasts. Everything on the plate was cooked perfectly and using great quality produce. I want to go back already, and can Imagine it being the perfect venue for a little celebration. Service was warm and friendly, and there's plenty of food choices to suit everyone. Resisted the cakes this time but I don't think that would happen next time!!!
