Terirble service, they just made us wait until we had to walk out. Maybe its better when its not packed but with so many good restaurants in the area this is not one to check out

Very poor food and service, the view was nice though.
Would not recommend this restaurant. I sat on the beach terrace outside of the restaurant so perhaps things are better inside. Service was very slow. We saw the waiter maybe once every half hour. Ordered beers and an overpriced plate of nachos. When the bill came, waiter tried to charge us for something we hadn't ordered. A tip is automatically included on top of your bill, but perhaps gringos are haggled more. There are probably other places with better service in Progreso. You're paying for location honestly. Not worth your money.
Let's see. The food took an hour to arrive, and was somehow both overcooked and room temperature. The servings were laughably small for any restaurant, let alone one charging Malecon prices. The 'seafood platter' (350 pesos) consisted of two shrimp, a small pile of crab meat and a fish fillet. Oh, and a tiny salad. The shrimp was almost raw and smelled like it had gone bad. The restaurant was filthy - a bowl of salsa that had spilled on the floor across from us before we arrived was still there when we left. They took forever to bring the bill, then the server hovered over us, waiting for us to pay. Needlessly to say we did not leave a tip. But I have a tip for you: do not eat here.
The best authentic food we had the entire trip.....6 of us with our guide, we were served promptly, glasses kept full, served family style wonderful experience...the owners even came out to meet us.....we had drinks on the beach prior to our meal....we had several cuisine experience in our trip through Mexico this place was our 1st stop nothing else compared to it.....try the green chili.....just a Lil though! Our tour guide Francisco was awesome so we had no breakdown in communication ...... We loved it and can't wait to return this next year just my husband and I! 5 stars!
