Prof Senapati is quite simply my hero, any nerves I had about my operation (gastric bypass) instantly went after meeting him, he is quite simply the best in his field, with his caring, friendly, supportive manner you are in the best hands, not all heroes wear capes but I cant speak highly enough of this wonderful man..

Life changing just doesn’t seem to do it justice somehow, but that’s what it is. Like so many people I have been held back by obesity for most of my life… I struggled through the difficulty of losing a small amount of weight, then to only regain it quickly plus more, again and again. I became depressed and my health began to suffer, my joints especially, as I got older. I had considered surgery for many years but with the extremely long waiting list, the costs for private care and the fact I had never been in hospital before and was scared for surgery, I never did anything about it until 2 years ago. I got a little inheritance and just decided enough was enough, it was now or never. I met Professor Siba Senapati and his amazing team at the Alexander, they made me feel at ease immediately, I have felt completely supported during every second of my amazing journey. I had gastric sleeve surgery and never looked back. Almost overnight my knee and hip pain disappeared, the impact overall on my health has been astounding, I feel years younger and I went from 135kg to 85kg! I am full of energy, a gym bunny now and just enjoying every aspect of my new life. My confidence has grown immensely, in fact I found myself on a blind date and fell in love with the most amazing partner and we are now engaged and I am looking forward to walking down the aisle with all eyes on me. Professor Senapati and the team were very understanding, I never felt judged. They supported me every step of the way and have always been encouraging and positive. I just cannot thank them enough.
I am absolutely over the moon with not only the results but the service from Prof. Senapati and his team from start to finish. I was given plenty of information about the surgery and any queries I had where answered quickly. Prof Senapati was very informative and helped ease my nerves on the day of surgery. During my stay all the staff were amazing, very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The hospital was immaculate and the room was more than comfortable. After many years of being obese and having lower back problems I have decided to go through weight loss surgery. Prof. Senapati was being recommended to me by a very trusty surgeon. I find out Pro. Senapati's website and contacted him directly by email. The arrangements to my first appointment with him was took very quickly thanks to his secretary and I met him in Alexandra hospital in Cheadle. My operation was done in the best possible way. Prof. Senapati made a visit to my bedside couple of hours after operation and also another two times during my stay. While after the first night of my stay at The Alexandra Hospital I felt the nurse staff was made me to being discharge as soon as possible, I was not feel ready to do so. When Prof. Senapati came to visit me on that day he gave the respect to how I feel and agreed that I need another night stay in hospital. I discharged a day later when I had got back my strength and ready to leave hospital to continue my weight lass journey at home. Prof. Senapati discharged me with a full care package. My GP received a full care plan for me from Pro. Senapati including all details about vitamins that I need to use. The dietitians that are working alongside him will monitor my diet over the next 2 years. The actual operation was done in the best way as possible. I knew many people that done VSG and had gone through many complications and even need to go through another operation. My healing was very quick, and I was able to start my normal life routine very soon after my discharge. So if anyone looking for the best surgeon who is very confidant on his job and take care of you in the best possible way I highly recommend Pro. Senapati. ps. Today is 50 days post operation and I lost 14 Kg .
