I booked afternoon tea for 24 people. I had given them 2 weeks notice . The young boy at the counter was very polite and rushed off his feet as he was the only one there. The sandwiches came out and there was not enough to go round. The scones came out again not enough for everyone and they had been bought from sainsbury's. They were the smallest scones we had ever seen. Cream and jam came and we had to beg for more as again not enough for everyone. When the cakes arrived there were enough for one and a half each. Tea was served in a flask as we were told they had not enough tea pots. They had also run out of filter coffee so we had to wait again for them to grind some for us. I speak for all 24 of us to say that will will not be going back. It was not an experience we wish to repeat. I think I am more than generous with one star. Carol.
