What an absolutely charming place. Felt like I had stepped back in time to a most pleasant period of life. There was such a good selection of food and drink and staff were so helpful and cheery. Would highly recommend

I LOVE the afternoon tea here. I have been 4 times now and every time I have had slightly different food to suit the time of year but always delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful and cannot do enough for you. There's unlimited tea/coffee and a phenomenal list of choices as well.

Took Mumsy to lunch at Dunstable's Priory House tea rooms last Saturday. We also ordered two pots of tea from probably the widest variety of blends between London and Glasgow. Priory House has 7 pages describing the range of taste of their different teas and a page for their speciality coffees. There are 28 varieties of tea. The coffees, include a special variety known as \Cat's Poo\ because of where it comes from. This part of the building with its arched ceiling dates from the 13th century. Dunstable is a very historic town built around the crossroads of two Roman roads. Henry VIII had his marriage to Anne Boleyn annulled here, leading to the creation of the Church of England. Upstairs there is an interesting exhibition of the history of Dunstable from the time of the Romans. Priory House includes a shop full of interesting and unusual gifts; many handcrafted locally. When it's sunny, you can sit outside and enjoy an Afternoon tea while admiring the Tudor garden with plants that would have been grown in those days. So, if you like tea, Priory House is the place to be.
