Priorswood Clematis Nursery

Unlike “G” all I can say is what fabulous service, knowledge and how helpful! It’s not a garden centre, it’s a nursery and the guys that own and run it are growers! We had some amazing help and advice this afternoon and I can’t wait to get cracking in the garden and visit again to buy some more Clematis. The chap who helped us even offered to do telephone advise if we continue to struggle with clematis in our garden. I couldn’t fault the service and will visit again soon.

One star because the plants are fine. If, however you want customer service them avoid like the plague. A telephone call to ask for advice was met with a terse, rude sarcastic reply from an obnoxious old man. The salesman at the show was fine, just don't expect any follow up. Once they have your money, they don't seem to be able to care less!

I wanted to buy my clematis from a specialist and I needed 1 to scramble through a viburnum (as recommended by Monty Don), and I wanted 1 or 2 more for growing up a fence, to complement Huldine and Princess Diana. I telephoned Priorswood Nursery and the man who answered was extremely helpful and took time to listen and suggest varieties. We drove out to the Nursery and I was so glad we did, what this man does not know about clematis! He gave us great advice about some clematis that we already have, and about mulching. He also looked at the rootball of each plant that we were interested in buying, they all looked good but it was reassuring to see this. We purchased 3 plants, Alba Luxurians which is white with greenish tips, and the scented Mandshurica to grow through the virburnum and flower once it has finished. And it is scented, which will be wonderful as this is where we sit in the garden. We will definitely buy more from Priorswood in the future, and we cannot wait for summer!

Great plants, great advice couldn't be anymore pleased with the plants I bought from then

I rang for advice about a clematis that was not flowering and had a very helpful conversation which provided some some possible answers and courses of action to remedy the situation. This, despite the fact that I was not intending to buy a plant.
