I am not a bowler but was invited to share a meal with some regular bowlers who regularly rave about the food at the centre. Honestly, I have not had such a good meal in a few years! Everything was thought of, decorated table, serviettes under plates, soup bowls on plates, small jugs of cream, plenty of room etc. I haven't even started on the food! The soup was apparently delicious, my prawn cocktail was not notch, the roast lamb was to die for (not literally!), the meat melted in your mouth, plenty of roast potatoes & seasonal veg. Everyone loved their desserts - pavlova & cheesecake. I opted for fruit salad and it was one of the nicest I have ever had with black & green grapes, kiwi, apple, strawberries, oranges & raspberries. it was all cut up quite small which was easier to eat. I honestly could not fault anything. The staff were superb and on hand for anything we asked for. I cannot wait to go again.
I like going here. It is popular with bowlers and walkers alike. Food is good and plenty of room for scooter users to manoeuvre. Close to the beach (which is lovely) so walking our dogs is fab; then a drink for us as well as the dogs is a must in good weather as benches and tables are outside.
Excellent day out. Staff first class. Food also excellent. Party of 21 thoroughly enjoyed the day.
