I visited this castle as a child. I remember the beautiful white marble staircase with crimson carpet and brass stands with cord going through the brass loops. I am lucky to have photos of my grandparents. mother and aunty standing by the gate entrance to the castle in the late 1940's.My own children visited with my husband and I in the early 80's Looking forward to the castle renovation!! We will be visiting again soon.

Hedge Castle is the English translation of it's proper Welsh name of Gwrych Castle. It is a fantastic place to visit well worth the 5 entrance fee. Open 7 days.

Will be a lovely castle when it's finished.... I think it will be badly affected by Any &Dec turning up to film there for a month, but conservation costs money i suppose.

Not glamorous, but really is nice. Worth a visit, beach is lovely with more than enough space to play with the kids. I love Wales, it really is a beautiful part of Britain.
