The Rossio is the popular name of the King Pedro IV Square (Portuguese: Praça de D. Pedro IV) in the city of Lisbon, in Portugal. It is located in the Pombaline Downtown of Lisbon and has been one of its main squares since the Middle Ages. It has been the setting of popular revolts and celebrations, bullfights and executions, and is now a preferred meeting place of Lisbon natives and tourists alike.
Nice place to sit. It has two fountains and is larger than Trafalgar Square. I sat there for 4 hours two days ago. Watching people and enjoying a drink.
One of the most famous tourist spots of Lisbon. This place comes alive at night with loads of wine and dine restaurants dotting the entire area. Great place to just walk around and spend time gazing at the wonderful architectural marvels all around the place. This place has a colonial ambience to it with buildings reflecting the same. The lighting adds to the beauty and visual appeal. Overall a great place to be any time of the day. I managed to visit this place late in the evening and I was happy that I did!
Is nice as a tourist for a quick look and some photos but not that much to see. Some monuments and fountains.
Beautiful square - but full of non-Euros selling drugs. I was approached 6 times in 5 minutes while sitting on a bench here. Feels unsafe at night. Women getting followe.
The center of the center is a great place full of history, trade, people and the special light from Lisbon.
Very beautiful park to be when you want to go a little out of the city.
