Nice place to drink a good craft beer. It's a bit expencive, but it is a good place to start walk trip to the castle. The ribs are very nice.

Exceptionally bad service even with only 4 tables occupied (out of dozens), forgot to bring teas, part of our group ordered soups instead of main meals so everybody had to wait till they finish them. Maybe it's better in the summer when it's full of tourists but definitely wouldn't recommend in the winter. Meal was mediocre and practically cold. \Half a duck\ was just one leg. Zero gluten-free choices.

A large restaurant close to the Strohav Monastery. It has a air-conditioned room, it does heat up when it starts to get full of people. I went here for lunch, but they do not have any lunch menu items, so dinner items only. It is a bit of a tourist trap, the beer is relatively expensive and so is the food. The food was excellent though, mostly Czech meals but also pizza and salads. Service was decent, but not great or special.

The service was a bit slowly although it wasn't very busy. We ordered a lamb schaschlik and a soup, and two of the special beers. One beer was nice (the dark one), the other one not our taste. The taste of the soup was ok, but the amount tiny and most was just bread. The lamb schaschlik was a disappointment- in size/price (14 Euro, see pic), quality and taste. The meat was dry, and partially chewy. The onions were partially burned and with the outermost layer. The rice and the carrots had no taste at all. The sauce was good. In the end, you pay 10% tax (?) on top. For what? Overall, this place is too expensive for what you get.

Chicken chaldoun for 6. Not worth at all. Beer Matuška is nice!

A large resteraunt near the monastery. It has air conditioning, which is nice in the summer. The food is okay, they have Czech food but also other items like pizza. There is no lunch menu. You do pay the toerist price. The service is decent.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I only wish I was in Prague longer to have come here more often. I do not agree with the other reviews. The prices are relatively cheap. Our tab for two people for dinner, drinks, and dessert was only 37 (US) about 848 Czech which was a good price and not touristy compared to other touristy areas where I visit. This restaurant has also won awards for it's beers and they have a sign inside that shows which rewards they achieved. I have tasted the beer and it is amazing. Czechia is well know for it's beers, and I am not an expert of course, but I can say when you order ANY beer here it will be good, cold, and served in tasty large mugs. I visited this restaurant on 7/23/2019 with my mom and my mom being elderly she really just wanted a quiet, clean, serene place to sit, eat good food and just take a breather from the busy day and touristy environs. This restaurant was quiet, not overloaded, and the wait staff was attentive and polite. The outside seating was comfortable and they even had misting hoses attached to the umbrellas for people to stay cool. The outside was already in a shady area with lots of green foilage and exactly what we were looking for. My mom also smokes so she was very happy to be able to enjoy a calm cigarette outside. The food was great. We had the typical Gulasch in a bread bowl, and a dish of Asparagus with creamy sauce and it was amazing. We also had dessert and it was tasty also! For you out there who is looking for a break from touring and busy hussle of the street, THIS is your place. It is also walking distance from the Hotel Pyramida, where we stayed. My mom still talks about eating and relaxing here, she very much enjoyed it, as did I. This restaurant does not deserve the mediocre reviews, it should get 10 stars.
