Rude staff. Attended today with my husband both wearing masks following social distance guide lines. Entered the shop to be served a woman with short hair who wasn't wearing a mask correctly. Nose poking out but mouth cover. I'm a health care assistant... You breath through your mouth and nose so both should be covered.... Shouts from the back of the shop you will have to leave??!!! Puzzled to why as I had a mask on so did my husband. To be told I could shop with my husband. But just before this 3 people were asked to leave as to many in the shop that's fine. But you don't shout at customers. You don't preach covid guild line when your staff are wearing masks incorrectly and if you can't shop with your husband you should clearly have it written on the door. Or maybe a member of staff at the door. Advising people not screaming in front of a shop full of people and be littling them. Customer service was shocking. Tbh when your shops right next to greggs your Rivel competition I'd be more welcoming. Teach the staff to wear mask correctly. A manner to speaking with paying customers who pay their wages Have a member of staff on the door like most other shops do And read guild lines about people shopping together there are no rules How did you nit know I could of been someone's carer???? Never judge a book by its cover some people don't and can't shop alone for many reasons Your all stood in the back not social distancing but have the cheek to scream top note about me and my husband shopping together. Thank you for ruining our day.
I was in this store Saturday 17th, I bought a pack of blackcurrant pies, a pack of strawberry tarts and a pack of vanila slices. I was very happy with the staff and the shop. The young lady on the tills mentioned that the tarts and slices had gone up, to make me aware, she was very polite and friendly. I got the pies and cakes for after our Sunday dinner and we were far from disapointed with them, if anything we were delighted, they were really good, even the day after we bought them the strawberry tarts were still just as fresh, my husband loved it and the blackcurrant pie. I had a slices and it was the best I had had in a long while, all were much nicers than a well known place I could mention that my husband had got a few months ago even eaten on the same day of purchase. We will never go anywhere else but the Poundbakery again. Thank you.

It's good value for money. There's genuinely not much more to say than that. Shop is tidy, clean and well maintained. The staff is organised and know what it's doing. There's surprisingly good variety for a budget bakery.
