The best Italian in my area. I recently took my family out for dinner here. We had a good time and excellent service from the staff. It was family-owned and everyone was polite in there. And it had authentic Italian scenery both inside and outside. You could tell everything was made in house, from the bread to the sauce. The special fish of the day always hits the spot! Will be back soon!

We are from Pennsylvania and Positano was recommended to us if we found ourselves in Bethesda for dinner. The flavors of our dishes were fresh and well balanced. The service was excellent and the prices VERY reasonable. If we find ourselves in Bethesda at dinnertime again, Positano will be our destination.
I've eaten at Positano over the years and I must say it is the best authentic Italian cuisine in this area. When you first enter the restaurant, it has a very soothing ambience and the aesthetic is very fitting of the name. The space is well decorated, with beautiful imagery and a classic Italian theme. There is a vast amount of tasty food choices on the menu, with my personal favorite being the Chicken Parmesan! I have also tried different pastas and seafood as well, and I must say you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The service is outstanding and has been for many years, and I will continue to make this my #1 place to eat when I'm in downtown Bethesda.
A favorite location for quality Italian food. Service is always timely even when they have a full house. I look forward to a return trip. This place has an awesome atmosphere.
We just had a mini rehearsal wedding dinner at Positano on Saturday night. The food was fabulous. We sat socially distanced inside and felt very safe. They also have terrific outside seating. Service was great and they made us feel special. Best Italian Restaurant I've been to in the area. We're certainly going back.
