I am extremely disgusted with this restaurant. I went out for my birthday dinner on Saturday 1/2/2021 walked into the restaurant and the only thing that hits you right in the face is the smell of backed up sewer. As we proceeded to head to the dinning area we ask the gentle man who is seating us does he smell that and he replied no!!! He must be use to that smell if he could not smell that!!! The dinning room smelled like pure cigarette smoke I’m thinking to myself like this can’t be happening!!! Sat down and because of the strong smell we decided to get up and go somewhere much cleaner that smells like a restaurant!!! I can’t believe that this establishment was in the condition that it was.. I have been there plenty of times before and on one other occasion it smelled like cigarettes but it wasn’t as strong as it was on this day. I will never give them any of my business again and neither will the company that came with me. Truly disappointed!!!

First time having Portugese dinner with my partner's family for a birthday celebration. The whole place emanate Portugese charm, from the dinnerware to the entrees. Lots of good wine and music to accompany our night.

Great place for tasty portuguese food. Excellent spot to spend time alone or talk business. Service is consistently good. The bill was fair.

One of my favorite all-time restaurants. High-quality steak and seafood dishes, and a very popular sangria. However, their other cocktails are great too though usually you see pitchers at every table. Service is top-notch; always attentive. Try the Zarzuela or Filet Mignon a Portuguesa to be blown away with flavor. Shrimp in garlic sauce appetizer is killer. Some may say decor is dated, but for me, it adds to the charm.

My wife and I have been coming here since the eighties. The service has always been the best, and I have literally eaten everything on their menu. I have never been disappointed, ever. After we moved to Texas we STILL would fly up to NJ just to eat here. And we still do, although the coronavirus has forced us to pass it up for awhile.
