A very talented chef is turning ordinary dishes into something special. The flavours are strong and may not appeal those who prefer more traditional food, but went far beyond my expectations. When we visited the cod was being served in a Thai style and to Michelin standard. It's a hotel, so the atmosphere isn't quite as intimate as some places, but the staff are very good. The prices are higher than some other places but the standard of food makes this good value.

Hidden gem in Skye. Menu is limited to only 3 choices per course, but the dishes are beautifully presented, well balanced and perfectly cooked. It is epitomy of modern cooking and Michelin star worthy without breaking a hole in your pocket. The roasted pork belly, pan fried chicken with corn puree and cod in aromatics Thai broth are just sublime. I had dinner on two different evenings and they do not disappoint. They brought a smile to my face.
Delicate and balanced dishes are served up by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very enjoyable meal all around. Make sure to book in advance to reserve a table.
We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant during our visit to Portree a couple of weeks ago. The food was really tasty, particularly enjoyed the mussels and the Misty Isle gin. We were seated in the bar area and the service was fantastic. Really friendly staff and we'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for a nice meal in Portree.
Booked a reservation through open table. Very glad we picked the Rosedale. The tapas menu items were great in both presentation and flavor. My wife loved the smoked beet root, I was partial to the scallops. Friendly and attentive service and a large wine and spirits selection.
