I was in Portland on vacation, on the last day I felt a uti coming on. I was flying back the next morning to east coast. Not the time or place for a uti. I came here around 11:30pm after being consulted on the phone. No insurance. The nurses were friendly, kind, and helpful. The nurse did everything in her power to answer all my questions & saw to it that I got my medication without having to go to a pharmacy. She even let me stay inside the room while there were dodgy acting clients outside in the waiting area. Soo grateful for their services, they truly saved me from a hell ride back from vacation.
I haven't read all of the other reviews. All I can say is that I headed to LGSM at 3am, calling beforehand. Someone answered right away and transferred me to the front desk. I literally waited a total of five minutes before I was evaluated and another 5 before I was admitted. Every staff member I spoke with was personable, empathetic and patient. The staff made a huge difference for me and I'm overwhelmingly gratful to have been received by such kind strangers in the middle of the night.
Well kept and maintained building. Awesome selfless staff willing to go the extra mile for your care, compfort and after care. Facility is old but in great up keep and is a awesome place to walk around if you ever find yourself unfortunately hanging out at a Hospital. The chaple on the 3rd floor is a true beauty and a great place for spiritual healing anytime.
