The Cathedral is a towering structure in Portland. The Cathedral was build in the 1860s and serves as an example of Gothic Revival. You can develop an appreciation for the sheer size of the building during a walk on the grounds. Note the many windows, which I found to be interesting.

I attended a wedding here, it's a stunning cathedral consisting of two large areas. The interior is spacious, clean and beautiful. The parking outside is ample, with two entrances. A lovely place to host and attend a wedding!

Incredible building. Imposing and beautiful. I've been looking everywhere for a Churches that offer the traditional Latin Mass here in Maine, the Catholic Mass as it's suppose to be, I should say, and the Saint Gregory the Great Latin Mass Chaplaincy offers the Tridentine Latin Mass at this cathedral at 12 pm every Sunday. If you are a traditional Roman Catholic, this Mass at this Cathedral is for you! If you are curious about the Latin Mass but don't know where to find it, look no further. If you have never attended a Mass of the Extraordinary Form, you are missing out on the most edifying and sacred service in the Western world. A beautiful Mass in a beautiful cathedral.
