Nice wine, great service but the boards were excellent. Great quality meats and cheeses, lovely bread, generous on the chutney. All in all a lovely place! We couldn’t even finish! Came to Southampton for the weekend so gutted I can’t come often. Great place for a catch up with your friends or a romantic date. Thank you!

Lovely wine bar with a small but excellent selection of wine at very reasonable prices. Spoilt for choice of charcuterie but very good quality and generous portions. Great service and ambience. Will certainly try to visit again
My wife and I have been regular and loyal customer for both food and drink since porters opened. Today, we were turned away because apparently we can no longer drink there. Not the most pleasant of experiences in a busy bar. For business owners, the illusion of popularity created by the eat out to help out scheme will fall into dead Sunday to Thursdays by October, this is when loyal and regular customers matter. Fortunately, Oxford Street offers choice, and other establishments will welcome your custom without the brush off. So if you're tempted to try, or find yourself in Oxford Street looking for good hospitality, then give some of the many other establishments a try. We know most of them and can assure you, they will all welcome your custom and your loyalty. Look after your customers and the business looks after itself!
