What an experience! The food was incredible. Every dish was delicious. We had the pork with honey and mustard sauce (comes with tomato rice and homemade chips) , and the chargrilled seafoods. For dessert we tried the typical conventual sweets and the custard cream (Portuguese style). The staff was also attentive and polite. Would go back and recommend.

No vegan menu, but can accommodate vegans. Mushrooms was a little expensive (6), but the food was really good and the staff is very kind!
This place was the best we ate at in Portalegre. The food and wine suggestions were amazing. My friend and I arrived just before lunch service ended, but they happily served and and we staying in the restauant after closing. I am from Australia and would go out of my way to go back to Portalegre just to visit the restaurant when I am next in Europe.

Nice and personal restaurant with a good quality / price combination. The menu is traditional for the region, but it always seems to me they give it a little bit more of a personal touch and if the weather allows and the BBQ is on, they serve wonderful grilled meats and fish. Fernando and Maria are good hosts that make you feel welcome.
