Stay away from Griffith Energy in Port Henry. Terrible Customer Service. Completely willing to screw over there customers when there employees are the ones at fault. One of there agents Jim convinced me to sell my propane at the house I was selling back to them instead of the buyers of the house (which the buyer and myself preferred). He calculated my refund and I had him process it. Griffith ended up refunding me 300 less then what the sellers would have given me for it. All there manager Jack had to say is we can't take responsibility when our employees screw up he shouldn't have offered you that much in the refund. Classic bait and switch. Stay away from these guys look for any other provider in the area. Better Business Bureau will be my next email after this one.
If I could give a 0 I would. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Over the summer we purchased an electric stove and were no longer in need of our propane tank for our propane stove. We called Griffith Energy to schedule a pick up of the tank. They took 2 months and only after multiple calls to remind them to come they came. Except they didn't take the tank, they filled it up. After calling immediately after we found out they filled the tank and didn't take it we were told to just pay the bill and they would reimburse us once the tank was picked up. After another 2 months and more calls from us they finally came and took the tank. Now we used Griffith Energy for both your propane and our heating oil. We were on automatic refill for both accounts. So naturally we cancelled our propane account because we no longer had a need for propane. Today I come home from work and the house is a little cold so I go outside to check my oil tank gauge and it's beyond empty. We call Griffith Energy and after waiting 30 minutes for a person to answer we were told that someone on their end cancelled all of our heating through them and we no longer have an account with them. Today is Monday and we were told no one can come fill us up until Friday. Joke of a company. They mess up and cancel our heat and now we have to freeze for a week because of their mistake.
Customer service has been top notch
