A bar, a restaurant, a library, a reading room... with a view! Great to chill out, have dinner with friends and family and discover new books in the process. Well worth a visit!

Menu shorter, but quality much improved. Service very friendly and efficient, on a busy summer evening. Le Chenal is gloriously situated for dramatic sunsets, a vibrant place embedded in local and family history. Superbe!
We went to the Chenal for my father 60's birthday and we had a wonderful time! We booked a large table and had a set menu. The service was super smooth, the food was delicious and the all gang had a wonderful time. This restaurant location is just perfect, therefore they get really busy, I would advise to make bookings in advance. I would definitely go back next time I am in Porspoder.

Service? Well we sat there for 5 minutes and waited for even a menu, but nothing happened. Proprietress knew we were there as she said don't sit at the table for 4. So we didn't, and she then pointedly ignored us. My advice? Head into Le Conquete instead.
This is a great tea room, bookstore, restaurant in the small town of Porspoder in northern Brittany. What a great stop after a hike along the coast, or after visiting one of the beaches nearby. The bookstore is dedicated mostly to travel books (fiction and non-fiction), there is a good selection of tea, and dinner is served in the evening. There is a very nice patio with a view if you're stopping for snack. If it rains, inside there are couches and coffee tables, so you can take your time exploring the book selection. I've been there for dinner and it was delicious. Local artists display their work here, so there are often really interesting things to see too.
