It was perfect until it wasn’t. We ate at Pops Diner 2.14.21 and were seated at 11am right by the front door. It was Valentine’s Day, on a Sunday, and church was just getting out. It was a very busy and potentially stressful time. Despite that, the staff was fantastic. The host was professional and welcoming. Our waitress was on her game. The food was delicious. It was a little annoying being sat right by the front door, but we understood. In this pandemic establishments are doing what they have to in order to stay in business. And then it happened. What I assume was the manager came up to the host and began berating him. Chastising him loudly. Embarrassing him. It lasted at least a good 15 minutes. It was abusive and completely out of line. A manager should NEVER speak to an employee that way and absolutely never in front of customers or other coworkers. The manager wasn’t offering helpful feedback, he was insulting him. It’s important to note, as customers, we felt like we were receiving quality service from the host. He was amazing, keeping things moving quickly and efficiently with a calm demeanor and a smile on his face. He was doing a great job. I honestly don’t know what was wrong with the manager. I hope the host is compensated and the manager is corrected.

This place is very nice and welcoming! Services are quick and food is delicious. Very clean environment. The reason I gave this business 4 stars is they do not serve turkey products, except sliced turkey. No turkey bacon, no turkey sauce. So I ordered the shrimp and grits without the kielbasa. It was still delicious. If you are in the area, stop by and enjoy for yourself.
I've eaten here before. Got my meal to go this time and I was not pleased. Did not get the quality or quantity I deserved. My previous visits were enjoyable. This visit was very disappointing.
Food was good. Not much of a selection for gluten free food. Everyone was social distancing. Waitress was great.
Great food, friendly service. The meals are SO plentiful, my advice is to share with a friend! I ordered the shrimp and grits and it tasted fresh, and was so big, it barely looked like I touched my plate! My Mr ordered \the hangover cure\ and luckily it was brunch, so he finished most of it. My advice? Share an appetizer and a meal. Your tummy will be very happy! #yum
