Freshly renovated, in middle of main city walk, few essential appliances are missing like kettle, unless you ask for it. Windows are still wooden and old but usable together with balconies. Breakfast could be better but its not really bad

This hotel actually exceeded my expectations! We stayed in Poprad for 2 nights on our trip in the High Tatras region. The town doesn't have much to offer but it's close to the mountains and the small villages in Vysoké Tatry. The hotel was really nice! It's an older hotel that's located pretty close to the train & bus stations and to the city center. It might not look too much from the outside, but the room was clean, comfortable & spacious enough, and it had a view to the hills. The only issues were that the windows & bathroom are pretty old (they really show their age!), but this will soon be fixed from what we understood. We also had breakfast included: it was the usual buffet type breakfast, but it had diverse options so you could basically eat different foods every day. The staff was really polite, helpful and quick. They all spoke English and were very professional all the time. Overall, this was a pleasant experience and we'll surely be staying here whenever we'll revisit the High Tatras region.
Medium hotel. The rooms are quite OK, but the halls and elevators look really old. In general the hotel is a bit aged. Also there might be noise from the streets. But the breakfast are fine, the hotel is in the center of the city, so this is big plus. Also parking and WiFi.
Probably one of the worst hotels in Poprad. The rooms are very dated and a bit smelly, there is no ventilation, not even in the toilet and bathroom. If you open the window for some fresh air there is a big chance you will have a lot of noise during the night as there is a disco bar below the hotel and you can hear the train every hour. The breakfast is the worst I've ever seen, and trust me we've seen a lot!! The food is really very bad quality, I would not even feed this to my dog. Also the free wifi is so slow, it reminds me of the speed in the '90s. The only positive experience you will have is the service of the people working there.
We have visited hotel Satel multiple times. I have to say Satel has been improving from year to year. Beds are extremely comfortable worth a four-star hotel and breakfast is fantastic four star style as well.
The hotel is very old and smelly. Breakfast is greasy, cheap and tasteless. The worst part is that there is a disco bar below the hotel so people stay and talk loud outside the hotel in big groups until early morning. Also the rooms are linked with each other with a door so the sound isolation is not good. You can hear all conversations on the other side, baby crying and so on. Do not recommended. Unfortunately there is nothing nice to say about the hotel.
