Well, pay peanut get monkeys.. not expensive, but not very special. If you just need a bed this is fine. But showering is manual labor... No hookup for the spout. Rooms and all areas in general are outdated. Hotel was build in the early 90 and never seems to have been updated. Friendly staff though. Breakfast was okay. I do have to admit, excellent wifi. But that could be die to the fact we are staying here at Easter. Almost no guests...

I've spent a weekend in this hotel and I must admit it was a unique experience. Looking at the pics and reading through their Facebook I was ecpecting a nostalgic trip to the communist era but I was not expecting things to be so dull and grim. To be fair, my room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff seemed very friendly. But pretty much everything else was a bit disappointing. When I first saw how my room was furnished I burst into laughter but then I couldn't help feeling uncomfortable. The idea of hanging pieces of carpet on the walls, the antique tv, that weird mothy kind of smell in the room and the disappointing breakfast... That was a bit too much. The hotel prices are however very reasonable and so if you don't mind staying in a place reminescent of the communist times, Hotel Poprad could work for you.
very bad experience, as foreign tourist you are treated differently than local tourists, breakfast was different after a bus with local tourists made check in (they put many things to greet their people, but for us they wouldn't care much if we don't have what to eat) conditions are pretty bad, as you would go back in time in 1980, furniture is old, carpet on wall looks bad, smell is bad, the bed is pretty horrible, this kind of place should be avoided

Cosy hotel with a nice view and friendly staff. Breakfast is reasonably decent. Rooms are cleaned in a daily basis. The interior is a bit warn-out. In general, good value for money.
Bathrooms are a little tight-fit, but the overall impression of rooms was amazing: modern, spacious and rich. Almost the same can be said about the common areas like the dining and the conference room. There's also a small lift to travel between floors, in addition to a wide staircase.
High standard and good price. Very polite personel, good food.
