We've been enjoying Poor Phil's separately and together for more than 35 years. In all that time we have always had four to five star experiences. Covid has changed things somewhat, i.e. no free popcorn at the tables and other minor matters. The burgers, fish sandwiches, and shell fish always are excellent as are the sides. Servers and service always have been stellar. More than 100 beers with 40 or so on tap. Excellent top shelf liquors. One of the best al fresco dining experiences in Chicago and environs. Absolutely one of our all-time favorite restaurants for the above reasons and more. Long live Poor Phil's!

Cool place to chill and have dinner inside or outside dining. Plenty of beer choices and don’t forget to look up at the beer taps! Sea food is pretty good for a sports bar. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would go back. Just my opinion, you’ll have to be the best judge. Please like if this review helps you decide what to do. Enjoy.
4 stars goes to our server who went above and beyond to make sure my food was completely gluten-free. We didn't necessarily enjoy our our food. My son had a pickle burger thatwasn't prepared to his liking. However, the patrons are very friendly as well as all the wait staff we encountered. I would go back just to hang out.
It’s my favorite place in Oak Park. The staff is always so friendly here. The food is good, drinks are delicious, and the outdoor seating is perfect. I have not eaten anything from here that I did not like. My favorites are the salmon sandwich, gumbo, and lobster Mac n cheese. But really everything is good. If you haven’t been here then you need to go asap.
We were able to sit outside on a beautiful night. Both got burgers, mine was smaller. Both delicious! Huge selection of beers. Social distancing was key. Tables were spread out. Great night.
