Great service, Henry the vet is a nice chap who clearly loves his patients - he’s old school and does things properly with no corners cut. Very reasonable charges compared to other providers and you feel like your pet is in good care. I’d highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Sir Henry is not the cheapest vet in town. But. He is a brilliant vet. He takes his time, he loves his patients, and is thorough. He always runs late, never on time, but always worth the wait. I would never take my furry family members anywhere else

I’m sure at one point this vet practice was the best place with knowledge and skills, as all that have been with them for years have nothing but friendly positive things to say But I joined them in 2018 and I have never felt so uncomfortable at a vet practice before. Notes were never typed up, phone messages were not recorded or typed which resulted in medication discrepancies that I was always made to feel were my fault and repetitive conversations about the same things. Not to mention appointments were always, at least, 20 minutes behind and then another 10 -15 minutes in there whilst post-it’s and non-typed up notes were looked at. My cat was distressed every visit (largely from the wait) and she was a very elderly cat that didn’t need this. The final straw came when as my cat was distressed and wouldn’t let them trim her nails, I was told by the vet how he’d advised an owner to put their dog down and ‘start again’ because at some point he wouldn’t be able to treat them - it was only when I left, as my focus had been on calming my lovely girl down, that I realised that was his passive way of telling me to do the same. I left shortly after that and she was a lot calmer at the new vet. Unfortunately she passed away last month at the good age of 19, but I will not be going back if I get another animal. I hate leaving bad reviews about anything, but as far as I’m concerned new patients should give this one a miss. Long-standing customers refer to them as ‘characters’ - read into that what you will. The only reason it’s not one star is that they were understanding about establishing payment plans (old cat costs). As I said I’m sure at one point this was the place to go for knowledge and care but this was not my experience at all.
