Well what can I say I'm very disappointed in the service and the quality of cocktails we received on a Friday night, but that's not to take away from the hard working and friendly staff. However there seemed a high bemand for cocktails and we ended up waiting for 47 minutes. Not a good experience this time.

Booked a table at alfreds, (been in for drinks before but never a meal,) staff friendly and helpful especially with the covid rules, nice ambiance, had three courses, each one beautifully presented, I had alfreds fishcakes with Barbadian sauce to start, absolutely delicious, main I had monkfish thermodor again totaly delicious, and finished off with raspberry pablova,definitely worth another visit.
Really awful service which is a shame as we usually love it here... sat down for food at 7pm ordered drinks at 7:05pm and did not receive drinks until 7:55, it wasn't busy at all. Told various members of staff multiple times who said that the drinks we're on their way-watched other tables order drinks after us and receive them before we did. Large group of 18 year olds at back of restaurant not socially distancing either/sharing drinks etc and moving around seats.....
Booked a table for 8pm, arrived at 7.55 to be greeted by a member of staff telling us \can you hurry to order the kitchen is supposed to be closing\. Which didn't really make us feel welcome to start with. On the plus side the food was lovely and really enjoyed.
Excellent service and lovely food. Would recommend visiting once restrictions are lifted!
