Boxing Day family get-together lunch for 9....wonderful staff and service, good food, and a very fair price. As dad of the family I had a great time. Thank you Matt and team for helping to make this a special day, even though I'm sure your staff must have been a bit holiday-tired. Really appreciated the care and attention. Rob

The Carpenters never fails to disappoint. Great setting, great value and quality food and the staff are always very polite and helpful. Have been here many times, weekday lunch, early evening meals and of course their epic Sunday lunch. Well worth a visit and I'll keep going back!
Stayed in the house next door and popped in with friends for a meal. Lovely hospitality and great food warrants a 4 or 5 star review no question, but the lamb my brother had makes it a definite 5* - it would not have been out of place in a fine dining establishment! Absolutely amazing and definitely worth a visit.
Me and my husband have very recently celebrated our wedding here. We had the most incredible day, Matt the owner was brilliant at preparing the venue to what I had requested and all his staff were so helpful and friendly. Not to mention the food! I had so many guests compliant the meal. The day could not have gone better, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is getting married. Being only 10 minutes from Cwmbran it really is a hidden gem.
