Das and Richard arrived in the snow this morning and moved us down three flights of stairs out of our flat and into our forever home. They were the professional, speedy and personable and one of the better quotes we received too. Make sure you have coffee in. I don't know how these guys do it, make it look like a king size mattress is a cloud. Thanks guys! Would 100% recommend and use again... Hopefully no snow!!

Shires have been absolutely brilliant throughout our move from Edinburgh to the Barnsley area. They arrived at 9pm sharp on Monday morning and by 5pm they had fully packed our house, loaded it up, AND taken a trip to a storage unit 10 miles away. Delivery today was done within a few hours, and equally as quick and professional. Whenever I've spoken to people in the office (not that I needed too much but we did have several issues with our completion dates on the new house), they've been polite and friendly - even getting to know us as soon I called, but that was down to it being an Edinburgh dialing code. Price wise their quote was about in the middle of the range we had, but their flexibility with regards to storing our stuff (if needed) was what swayed it for us - it's a little difficult to choose a removal firm if it's your first time moving, so we were a bit overwhelmed with having to get multiple quotes, estimate volumes and try to get bookings etc. BUT we cannot fault Shires in their job. Thank you, and if we ever do move again (it won't be for another ten years) we'll certainly come to Shires first.

Had a quotation and agreed to use their services. Was a pleasant experience to that point, kept them updated frequently. Asked to give 3 to 5 days notice of move. Telephoned and gave provisional date then telephoned 10 days before to be told they can't fit us in. Offered us collection 3 days before completion date and delivery day after! Absolutely disgusted but also absolutely delighted that we have signed with a more professional firm who have offered a mush better service. Be cautious, your move may not go to plan!

Shires were brilliant when we moved 2 houses in West Yorkshire to one in East Yorkshire. We had to stagger the moves over a few days but the crews were always friendly and helpful, always on time and worked incredibly hard. Would definitely recommend.

We would just like to say what a professional company this turned out to be when we used them for our house contents removal from Queensbury to Riddlesden on 3rd.December 2020. Booking was made without any fuss with the help of the superbly efficient and friendly Polly, the van arrived early which gave us a head start and the two young guys doing the lifting and carrying (Ryan and Mark) were fantastic working tirelessly to get us out of our old address well before the allotted time, can't praise this company and the guys enough and I'm please to say that the care they took resulted in absolutely no damage whatsoever, I would recommend Shires to anyone looking for a good reliably remover.
