This is one of the best restaurants in Poitiers but it does get very full and is very noisy at lunchtimes as it is so popular. Booking is absolutely essential and it is best to book an early time as they do seem sometimes to run out of some of the dishes which can be really disappointing. The food is very good but this is not the place to go if you want a relaxed dining experience!

Classy restaurant that delivers what it promises... Located in an old religious complex in the city centre of Poitiers, Les Archives is a restaurant that delivers on its promises of fine dining and romance, without breaking the bank. The building itself is a masterpiece, guarding its old, religious beauty with a more modern approach. The service is second to none, with a delightful and charmful maitre d'. 3 course menus are very affordable, starting at around 28 euros as of Oct 2020. Pair it with two glasses of great wine (10 euros) for a remarkable experience. Their Poire Belle Helene was one of the best desserts I have ever had since moving to France about 15 years ago. A must!

A very nice restaurant with quite an innovative menu that will spoil you for choice. Also an extensive wine list with good Local features. The atmosphere was very pleasant being located in the re purposed archives of Poitiers, however it was quite busy as it is attached to the Mecure Hotel. It is a popular restaurant. If you are staying in Poitiers or just passing through, it is well worth the visit.

Incredible place that makes you astonished, with high level dishes and wines. The kitchen and the chef work is well visible from the tables. The crew is professional. Prices are, consequently, high. But not so high. Definitely, if you are in Poitiers, you should go. And enjoy.

Very good restaurant in the heart of Poitiers, arguably the best one in town. Great food, french cuisine and good wine options. Service was solid.

Disapointing restaurant in many aspects. Mostly, the service. Terrible considering this restaurant is said to be the best in Poitiers. The server had no clue of what he was doing and was very informal with us. Plus, he wasn't able to pour champagne right.

Great experience to have tasty food in the old chapel!

Beautiful but pricy restaurant. Waiters were explicit and polite. Internal is very nice with beautiful high ceilings.
