The Goughs

I was approached on my morning jog here and was unknowingly trespassing. I saw no signs and the owner was convinced they were there. Some pinks must have vandalized or stolen them. Do not go along the well established trail along the riverfront here. It is well traveled and trodden in only by trespassers, which I am accidentally one of. The owner didnt swear, didnt threaten with a gun, knife, or other weapon which you sometimes find in Idaho. If I had to unknowingly trespass and be discovered again i would want it to be by someone like that. It is a tremendous shame the unused land here sounds like it will never be a part of the riverwalk. The land owners seem rather attached to it even though they dont use it. I'm not sure what the deal is there but they have their reasons. It is their land and they can legally do what they want with it. They have broken no law by denying families from walking along the river, no matter how upsetting it may be. The land owners are law abiding citizens wanting to keep people off of land that is currently legally theirs and they are well within their rights to do so. My hunch says that no amount of bribing, violence, bargaining, leveraging, pleading, begging, cooperating, or negotiating will remedy this situation. I guess the city and its citizens will just need to wait until the business closes or changes hands into new management. For their law abiding methods of sticking to their no trespass policy they get a 5 star rating from me.
