Booked and paid for 15 winter check at Halfords Plymouth. To be told I needed approx 700 work doing - 2 new back tyres and 4 new brake discs and pads. Took it to a local garage for a second quote to be told I had a few thousand miles left in my rear tyres and the same for both my brake discs and pads! They said they'd happily replace them for me (at a quoted price of about 300 less than Halfords as it happens) but that they really didn't need doing yet! I know which garage I will be going back to when they do need doing. Avoid Halfords! I basically paid 15 to have my washer fluid topped up! And for them to try and rip me off! And in this climate that is disgusting behaviour.

I was a worried about the wear on my brakes; I took my car to Halfords and the checks were done swiftly. Absolutely fantastic. Great customer service and all for free with no obligation. Really put my mind at rest.

Excellent customer service. The young lady at reception was particularly helpful and kind and the fitter was a very nice chap who won a bitter struggle with my car’s bodywork to access the bulbs. Very good all around and highly commended.
