Absolutely horrible experience here tonight and cannot understand how this restaurant has good ratings at all. Even with EOTHO, it was absurdly overpriced for the abysmal quality and embarrassing service. The restaurant is tiny, cramped and has absolutely no social distancing at all. If you're looking for a comfortable and safe place to eat, this isnt it! We were packed in like sardines. Also zero ambience, strange leather couch wallpaper and odd purple and red seats?! Very strange decor, not at all inviting. Told after ordering drinks we had only 50 minutes left to eat and leave. I refused this immediately and said that if there was a time limit on the table, I should have been told when I booked. For the rest of our meal, we were basically rushed into eating and getting out so they could seat as many covers as possible. The food was poor to put it kindly. Definitely not worth 15 per main. Gourmet cuisine this was not. The meat was overcooked and chicken undercooked. Hummus and falafel clearly came out of a tub and a freezer respectively. It was clear the aim here was quantity of diners served over quality of the food going out. Sad wilted iceberg lettuce salad. Horrible oily rice that had clearly been cooked days earlier. Most upsetting is how rushed we were, being told our mains are almost ready when we were still eating starters. Having the mains then cleared rapidly off the table without really checking we were finished. Embarrassingly rude service that I have never experienced in ANY restaurant before. Yes including McDonald's! Please save your hard earned money and go literally anywhere else. There are fantastic Turkish restaurants in Essex (Aspera, Barru, Mesken, The Fat Turk) and this horrible little place is a shocking mockery of what Turkish food and hospitality should be.

Had really tasty takeaways multiple times during lock down, collection estimates can be a little off sometimes, but always well cooked and reasonable pricing. Worth an order!
Usually love this restaurant so was pleased to see it was busy last night. However my meal was overcooked and burnt black so sent it back. Didn’t get my meal until everyone was nearly finished. Did get an offer of a round of free drinks to compensate. Later my husband said his chicken was black burnt under the sauce too but didn’t then want to send his back after I had already sent mine. Maybe the kitchen wasn’t coping as busy. It has put us off as there are other Turkish restaurants which are better.
The food was lovely. A good evening. Cheers
The food was delicious and very flavorful there were only a couple of options for vegans which was disappointing at first and that is one point I think they could improve on but the service and food quality was fantastic, highly recommended, plus not too expensive either.
