Do not be put off by first appearances there is more to this visitor centre than you would think on first sight. Plockton on Loch Carron is a beautiful location and away from the big crowds so remains tranquil even in the tourist season. The visitor centre contains a lot of local information and history, although it fails to mention the filming of the TV series \Hamish Macbeth\ here. As well as the walking in and around the village, there are loch cruises and numerous places to relax, maybe over lunch.
