Seriously surprised at this place. All.of the dishes were good. The pizza did the job. Salad good, fries good, mussels good, and the hospitality excellent. It's not that far from central area but seems to be less crowded as a result.

New Playce in town run by the super friendly Neo. (The old place was called Play Spot) Playce is a modern, lofty, cosy spot serving the type of food one craves after hitting the slopes (good portions too). I personally don't love hotel good, hence glad I found this place. You can pay with Google, Apple Pay plus other electronic options - good alternative if you aren't carrying cash.
A super fun environment with fantastic food options. They also have games here to play which is an added bonus. We came back for a second dinner because we enjoyed it so much.
I took the shinkansen from Tokyo today and had an hour to kill before checking into my hotel so I decided to stop in for a drink. The owner Neo is very friendly, service is great and the music is to my taste. There is a great selection of Japanese whiskies and locally brewed craft beers. There's even a beer brewed in Nozawa which tastes amazing!
Nice and cozy place to eat BUT they have to fix their exhaust system!!! Upon leaving the place you and your winter coats and jackets will smell of food/oil. Was pretty bad. Hope these guys can get it fixed.
