Great pizza and beers at regular prices. And some excellent artists. We saw Gordon Haskell. Fantastic gig. The sound and sight are always good as it a relatively small space. Like someone playing in your front room
We were looking for a smoky, old-world, jazz-club experience and saw this place on the 'net. We weren't disappointed! Food was excellent - as always. The small basement 'arena' was perfect. Very intimate and the vibe was brilliant!
Really enjoyable. Whole experience. Downstairs exclusively for music event customers. Food Pizza Express pizzas, which personally I find delicious. Though I had the healthy salad with anchovies, which was excellent. Service was good, the waiter was there when we needed him, but not in our face. Sound acoustics good and for those who enjoy jazz, recommend the lively Imperial College Jazz Band, lovely mix and line up, a lot of talent there. Finally, I have an obsession about decent clean Toilets and handwashing facilities - no worries there. The Ladies was as clean and pleasant at the end if the gig as it was before the band began to play.
