A brilliant golf course situated on the outskirts of Brentwood. Very cheap too. The entrance to the car park is quite hidden so you need to look out for it, it's not in the residential bit but in the woods to your left if you're heading towards Chelmsford. You are given a wedge and a putter along with tees and a golf ball (the clubs are an extra 2.50) There's 18 holes in total, you have to be prepared for a lot of walking across the course as the holes span over 100m each. One downside to this is that it's very easy to lose your ball in the thick grass but that's just a player fault and not the fault of the company, as long as you have a good aim you will be fine. There's also an option to do foot golf which is 9 holes - this involves kicking a football in the style of hitting a golf ball.
Great golf course set in a local park, varied yards to holes, bunkers, hills and trees to negotiate making it a good course to practice on. Good value for money and social distancing working well with booking tee-off times in advance. Ample parking. You can do either 9 or 18 holes.
At Chelmsford Westpark today, this has been the best Pitch & Putt in Essex for over 30 years in my opinion. Delightful day!
