Spent two great years assigned to Camp Darby from 1980 to 1982. The Army had their own beach in Tirrenia and I was lucky enough to work their for one summer. I've got great memories of this place and all of Italy.

Stationed at Camp Darby 1982 thru 1984. Great times for an 18 year old. SPC4 Mora at the time not to be confused with SSG Mora (MP). I worked at the AUTODIN switch at Coltano. Peeps I remember from back then, my supervisor SGT Cindy Torgeson,SPC Rodriguez, Armijo, Riddick, Masingale, Placencia, Benji, Lightbody, Bailey many other that I will update as I remember the names

Several years ago I was stationed at camp Darby as us militay police operations officer and enjoyed every day there especially the cooperation I received from the carabineries who were Stationed on base and worked for me every day

Enjoyed our RnR in 91 with family! Camping under those pine trees were nice n cool. Kids enjoyed the beach too. Shoppette was a big convenience which was not far from campsite. Went to see Leaning Tower Pisa complex and the City of Florence. Like to visit there again someday!
