As most youth hostels in Germany this hostel is perfect for families with children traveling on a budget. Unlike most hostels, this one is perfect for those travellers not willing to forego a certain level of comfort. Every staff member we interacted with was kind and generous. While we had made a booking mistake, they took care of us, without any fuzz or additional charges. We had booked with half board and while food choices could be more varied, all food offered was of good quality. My youngest didn't like the dinner choice one night and the cook offered to get her some pasta - he won one young traveler's heart that night. The whole youth hostel has been recently restored to a wonderful standard, putting many hotels to shame. Rooms are of a good size with nice bathrooms and we couldn't find a single thing to improve, with the possible exception of another coffee machine for breakfast :)

From outside ugly, but inside modern, super practical and extremely family friendly.
You can sit here in a wonderfully open and lighted restaurant and enjoy some food or a beer in a not so crowded place. I would definitely encourage you to go here and try the Bistro out. You can sit anywhere and they have free wifi.
Tolle Jugendherberge, die eigentlich schon gar nicht mehr an Jugendherberge erinnert. Super modern. Mit tollem indoor Spielplatz. Sehr schön ausgestattet. Essen ist angemessen lecker und das Küchenteam sehr nett. Pirmasens bietet eine gute Ausgangslage zum Erkunden des Pfälzer Waldes.
Schöne und moderne eingerichtete Jugendherberge, Spielplatz im außen und innen Bereich vorhanden, da werden selbst die Erwachsenen wieder zu Kindern . Die Preise im Bistro sowie an der Baar waren nicht überteuert. Unser Zimmer wahren groß und modern eingerichtet. Das einzigste Manko meiner Meinung nach war die Matratze, Hart wie ein Brett. Aufgrund dessen sind es leider auch nur vier Sterne.
