As a non-BBQ aficionado, it could either be a 4 or 5 star depending on YOUR palate and how you feel that day. BBQ sauce? Better than most. I never liked BBQ sauce and don't hate it either -- it's like the Swiss, just neutral. But theirs is unique and solid -- sort of like Raising Canes' sauce. The pork ribs? Good-to-excellent, fall of the bone good. The potato salad - good. Mac - good enough. Atmosphere -- nice, quaint minus the parking. Price? High but its all good. 50 for 1.5lbs of slow cooked meats and sides. Overall, better than most. There's an advantage to mom-n-pop versus corporate chains. Good stuff. Enjoy.

Fantastic barbecue! The sides and desert are excellent as well. I wish they would introduce a combo meal like some of their competitors to bring down the price, but overall Pinkerton’s is a great place for a outstanding meal in a cozy atmosphere.
Texas BBQ so good it has Cue connoisseurs buzzing, some have dubbed it the best in Houston. Halal options are available, but they frequently sell out early since it's first come first serve. The staff was well aware of halal requirements when we asked. Customer service was excellent and they took the time to mention which sides contained non-halal meat products. In time I do wish that they are able to expand their halal menu. The beef brisket was exceptional.
If you're in the Houston area, you have to go here! The brisket and pork ribs are amazing! Get there early or some items may be sold out... yes it's that good!
Very friendly and will go the extra mile to make you smile. All staff are nice and inviting and they explain all food items that you may have questions about. I'd recommend going in with atleast 100 for 2 people if you love brisket and beef ribs as much as I do. Giving it a 4 star only because the flavor didn't meet my expectations. Otherwise everything looked good and smelled amazing. Potato salad, cheese rice and BBQ sauce was yummy.
