Whenever I think of my birthplace, my reference first and foremost is the sea. I was curious about what's behind the horizon. I love the smell of the sea, love its history, its gentleness. I love sunrise, sunset, rainbow after it rains. I love to watch the moonlight sky, stars, full moon and/or wait for the shooting stars. I was aware of its presence from my earliest years. Its majesty centered me, calmed me, was a solace to a certain extent.
