Food was pleasant enough and the portions were very generous. We were left a little bemused however when we were charged for extra cheese and chips which were offered as if part of the meal and didn't appear with prices on the menu. Didn't massively affect our experience there but did add a surprising 5.60 to the bill! Other than that, staff were welcoming.

Very nice cream tea... a little bit confusing if my sister and I could share a sandwich??? Was told no we couldn't.. then told yes we could??? Not sure how a virus attacks half a sandwich on a separate plate!
How can you offer take away cake and scones without providing a spoon, knife or fork? I know that times are difficult but honestly how do you put jam and clotted cream in a scone without any kind of utensil - not even a coffee stirer! For those considering visiting this cafe, the owner's response below is excellent! Don't let my bad experience put you off!
The staff are super friendly and it felt safe, even during covid. The food is tasty and simple and just a nice clean lunch. Worth a visit!
This place gets really busy but we got in and ordered. The place was well presented with plenty of seats to choose from, the menu was well set out and it was nice to see a little write up telling you that they use local produce and that all the food is prepared onsite. The toasted sandwiches was nice and couldn't find anything wrong with it and it was a shame we couldn't find any room for cake as they looked great. If there was only a little grumble from me is that it was a shame the teapot wasn't a tad bigger , but that's me.
